A marble body collided with me, pushing me back a few steps. Before he could attack anymore, I focused and gracefully stabbed my knife through his heart. He looked surprised and fell to the floor in a heap the second I withdrew the knife from his chest. I wasn’t able to clean the blood off before I was hit again.
Jane obviously hadn’t gotten the memo about the whole golden dagger thing because these guys were all fighting the old fashioned way: trying to tear us to pieces. We had the advantage even though we were greatly outnumbered.
I looked around at everyone. Carlisle and Esme were gracefully weaving around each other, plunging their knives into the hearts of the guards around them. It looked a lot like they were waltzing. Jasper wasn’t letting Alice have any of the fun and she was pouting while she tried to get a few kills in. Edward swooped in every few minutes to give me a quick kiss. Emmett was using his fury to take down about four guards at a time. Jacob was tearing guards to shreds. Between him and Emmett we were going to have a lot of pieces to burn anyways. I had lost track of Tanya and her mate.
I started to fight my way to the middle of the throng were Jane was standing, safe from all the fighting. She was holding both hands behind her back and her smile was growing every second. I heard Jake howl in pain but I didn’t have time to take heed to that. I pushed myself through the crowd and finally broke out of it, finding myself standing in front of Jane.
“Izzy!” she yelled like I was her best friend instead of her worst enemy. “So glad that you could join us!”
I didn’t know what game she was playing but I wasn’t about to be one of the pawns. I was done playing along with the sick and twisted games of the Volturi.
“Cut the crap, Jane,” I snapped. Okay, maybe that’s not exactly what I said, but for those younger audiences out there, we’ll just say I said that. “And it’s Bella by the way we.”
“Oh, but Izzy, you’re like my sister,” she mused.
“We both know that isn’t so,” I said. “You hate me and always have. The thing is I’ve never understood why. So why don’t you enlighten me before I kill you?”
“You couldn’t handle it if I told you,” she said.
“Wanna bet?” I asked.
“You really want to know?” she laughed.
I lunged at her, knife held high. I ran right through the place she was standing and spun around on a dime. She was standing at the other side of the wide opening of the fighting. It didn’t even look like she moved. Her hands were still folded behind her back and I was getting a bit worried about was she was hiding.
“Okay, I’ll tell you,” she cackled.
“Enlighten me,” I said.
“Well, first we must wait for Edward to get here,” she said. “He’ll want to be with us when I let you know.”
I attacked her again and the same thing happened. She was at the other side of the small clearing a second before I ran through where she was standing. Then, Edward broke through the fighting and stood, staring at the two of us.
“Aw, he is here,” Jane sung. “Now I’ll tell you.”
“What’s going on?” Edward demanded but we both shushed him.
“I’m about to tell Bella about us,” Jane said. About us? What the hell did she mean by that?
“Jane, don’t, please,” Edward begged. I was wondering why.
“Please just tell me,” I whined.
“You never told her,” Jane laughed. “Why? What do you have to hide? Bella, dear, will you believe me or will you go on being naïve and listening to every lie Edward tells you?”
“Just spit it out, Jane,” I snapped at the same time Edward snarled, “Don’t you dare.”
“Edward, what are you keeping from me?” I asked, turning to him.
“Now, now,” Jane said. “Don’t fight because of me. I will tell you, Bella, because deserve to know. There’s always a bond between a vampire and the person who changed them, yes? Like the bond between you and Aro. He’s like a father. Well, Edward’s the one who changed me, but the bond between us is more…romantic. Isn’t that right, Eddie-kins?”
My jaw dropped like…well, have you ever seen the animated move Aladdin? Y’know the genie in it and how when his jaw always dropped it he would always need to pull his mustache to roll it up? Yeah, well, that’s how I looked right about then, only I had no idea how I was going to get my jaw back up ‘cause I had no mustache to pull on.
I snapped myself at of my state of shock and turned to Edward. “Why didn’t you tell me?” I screamed.
“Bella, please, I didn’t think you would handle it that well,” he said.
“You lied to me!” I shouted. “Every time you told me you had never liked anyone else, you lied! Why wouldn’t you tell me?!”
“She was my past,” he said. “You were my present and my future. It didn’t matter anymore.”
“You told everyone else not to tell me either,” I said. “Didn’t you? God, Rosalie would’ve loved to tell me.”
“Bella, I’m sorry,” Edward said. He looked ashamed. “Please, we can talk about this later.”
“You’re right,” I said. “Right now I have some business to attend to.”
I turned back to Jane and held the knife high again. I charged at her and this time she didn’t move. Didn’t show any sign of wanting to move. Time seemed to slow. I ran as fast as I could.
“BELLA!” I heard Edward scream. “STOP!”
But I didn’t listen to him. So I don’t kill your old girlfriend? I thought snidely as I continued to run. A second before I plunged my knife through the old witch’s heart, she drew a golden knife out from behind her back. I gasped as I ran into her, the knife slicing through my skin and in between two of my ribs. It dug its self right through my heart.

Esme 24: Love and Marriage
The wedding was only a week after the proposal--we couldnt wait any longer than that. Edward and the pastors wife were our only witnesses. We were married in our living room
My dress was white--I did not count my marriage with Charles valid anymore, because I was a new woman. I had washed my hands of my human life, and I was ready to start my existence with the only man I loved.
Our hands were clasped together as the pastor read from his Bible, but I did not hear him--my attention was immersed in Carlisle and only Carlisle.
And finally, the words--the words I had said before but never fully understood their significance. They m

Esme 21: We Never Change
Just hold your breath if it ever gets too hard for you, Carlisle reminded me for the hundredth time this morning as I pulled on my new jacket. I sighed and turned to the mirror, trying to style my hair.
I know, I know--you sound like you have so little trust in me! I teased lightly, tucking a lock behind my ear. I smiled at my reflection, pleased, before turning back to him.
Carlisle was tense as he handed me my sunglasses. Nervous. Just squeeze my hand--we can just run home if you ever feel tempted. I took his offered fingers eagerly.
I think Ill be fine, I told him. I dont

Esme 14: My Heart
My baby was born on April 26th, just a few days short of my due date. I had given birth in my room under Mrs. Williams' close supervision and midwifery--I was intensely lucky that the late Mr. Williams had been a doctor.
My baby was a sweet boy of six pounds and seven ounces; he fit comfortably in the crook of my arm. It was like I had been built to hold him--it was so natural, so comfortable for me. He rested at my chest, heartbeat against heartbeat, and I cried with happiness.
It was my baby, my son. Chubby cheeks and big eyes of soft brown--such a darling. I never wanted to let him go. I loved him more than I had ever imagined before--hi

Ah!!!!! OMG, what a clify! I'm sorry and i don't think i'm going to post the next one till tomorrow just to keep you in suspense. No, i'm not that evil so i'll post it as soon as i write it. Not writen quite yet.
Hope you like the twist i through in. I don't know if there's really a bond between a vampire who changed them and them. I just added that to make it a bit more interesting. I can't believe Edward changed Jane. Anyways, i'm going to write another fan fiction once i'm done with this one that tells what really happened to Jane.
Now i'm babbling so there's only one thing left to say. Please comment
